JEWELLERY CARE
Fine jewellery is delicate and should be cared for accordingly. To extend the life of your jewellery and keep it in optimal condition, please follow the below tips and instructions on how to keep your jewellery in tip top condition.
- Do not wear your jewellery into a pool or spa. Chlorine is very damaging to gold jewellery and can lead to your jewellery breaking with repeated exposure. Also, wearing jewellery while you shower/bathe can lead to buildup of soap which leaves a film on your stones and gold.
- Put jewellery on last. Makeup, perfume, hair products, and lotions can damage your gold. It is best to put these on before your jewelry to limit exposure.
- Do not sleep in your jewellery. If you toss and turn, wearing your jewellery to bed may put unnecessary pressure on your pieces and cause damage over time.
- Leave your jewellery at home before engaging in strenuous activities including going to the gym. Gold is a soft metal, which means it is susceptible to scratches and dings.
- For necklaces, clasp the necklace when removing it to assure the chain does not tangle or knot.
- Store your pieces in a clean, dry, fabric-lined jewellery box, or keep it safe in the box/pouch your item arrives in. It is best to store items separately or in a designated area to keep them from scratching or tangling.
- For those with nickel allergies – Our white gold is alloyed with nickel for coloring purposes, so it’s best to avoid if you are allergic. Our yellow and rose gold do not contain nickel.
To clean your diamond jewellery, use a soft toothbrush and dish soap and gently scrub gold and diamonds. Do not clean with any chemicals, abrasives, or solvents.
